Cell Phone Outage Causing Issues for Emergency Dispatch Centers

Bowling Green, Ky. (December 25, 2020) – Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is experiencing major issues regarding calls coming into the dispatch center. Area 911 dispatch centers in the Post 3 district as well as some other surrounding districts are reporting outages. Post 3 dispatch is receiving 911 emergency calls from Verizon carriers at this time. If someone is calling in on the AT&T network, it is possible they may not get through. It is possible this issue is being experienced statewide in multiple states in this area.

Post 3 personnel is requesting the public in the Post 3 district who cannot get through by calling 911 to utilize the phone numbers 270-782-2010 or toll free 877-416-1224.

If you do call in to report an emergency or non-emergency, please be patient and please advise dispatch personnel of your location in so that first responders can respond to the correct location.
