Murder Suspect Still Sought: Three Suspects in Custody

(FRANKFORT, KY) -On Friday, September 19, 2003, four arrest warrants were issued in Fayette County charging four individuals with three counts of murder each. These charges relate back to the April 28, 2003 discovery of three bodies found in the Kentucky River in Clark County. Preliminary autopsy results established that each victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Three suspects are currently in custody:

Arturo Hinojosa Leal, 46, of San Elizario, Texas, was arrested on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at the Montgomery County Jail where he was being held on unrelated charges.

Audencio Alcabala-Sanchez, 37, of Lakewood, New Jersey, was taken into custody by New Jersey officials on Friday, September 19, 2003.

Audencio Alcabala-Sanchez is currently being held in the Ocean County (NJ) Detention Center awaiting an extradition hearing.

Luis Alberto Alkabala, 21, of Lakewood, New Jersey, was taken into custody by New Jersey officials on Friday, September 19, 2003.

He is currently being held in the Ocean County (NJ) Detention Center awaiting an extradition hearing.

One suspect is still at large:

Antonio Sanchez, 20, current whereabouts unknown. All previous information identifying this individual as Julio Cruz Camacho needs to be updated to reflect his correct name as ANTONIO SANCHEZ.

Sanchez should be considered armed and dangerous.

The murder warrants were sought in Fayette County as a result of the ongoing criminal investigation. Anyone with any information regarding this investigation or the location of Antonio Sanchez are asked to call the Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state).
