Danville Men Arrested on Drug Charges
Date of News Release: 05/13/2010
(Frankfort, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police and Boyle County Sheriff's Dept. arrested two Danville men on May 12 as part of a long-term drug investigation.
Carol Ball, 65, was charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. His son, Christopher Ball, 29, was charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking crime.
The indictments were returned last week by a federal grand jury in Lexington based on a lengthy investigation during the past 24 months. The investigation was related to a seizure of a large scale indoor marijuana grow that was initiated by the Kentucky Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, the Kentucky State Police and the Garrard Co. Sheriff's Dept. on February 23, 2008.
Both subjects were lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center. More arrests are pending.
