KSP Charges McCracken County Man With Crimes Related To Child Pornography

(WEST PADUCAH, Ky.) — A McCracken County man was arrested on charges related to child pornography Monday after Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.
Winston Louis Hale, 31, is charged with 31 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Hale was arrested as the result of an ongoing undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation that began in January 2012. KSP Electronic Crime Branch detectives began investigating after they discovered a suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The majority of the images depicted the sexual abuse of children who were less than 12 years of age.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Hale's residence in West Paducah on June 25, 2012 by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch and personnel from KSP Post 1 in Mayfield. Equipment used to distribute and possess child pornography was seized and taken to KSP's Forensic Laboratory for examination.
