KSP Arrests Lexington Man For Lottery Ticket Fraud

(Lexington, Ky.) - On February 7, 2014, troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 12 in Frankfort arrested Jeffrey L. Riley, 55 years old, of Lexington, Ky., on charges related to the fraudulent use of promotional lottery tickets.
The arrest stemmed from an internal investigation of 1,800 missing promotional lottery tickets conducted by the Kentucky Lottery Corporation in January 2014. The investigation determined that Riley, a regional manager for the Kentucky Lottery Corporation, had redeemed or validated the missing tickets at a Georgetown, Ky. location on three separate occasions.
Riley was charged with three counts of fraudulent use of a lottery ticket, a Class C felony. He was processed in the Scott County Detention Center and released on his own recognizance. Detective Kevin Calhoon is the investigating officer.
