KSP Charges Laurel County Man With Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

(London, Ky.) - On January 15, 2015, at approximately 5:40 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 11-London, and an agent from the Dept. of Homeland Security, arrested Paul A. Geiger, 50, for charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Geiger was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Geiger's residence in the evening hours of January 15, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Geiger is currently charged with three counts of possession and five counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Geiger was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
