KSP Charges Jessamine County Man with Child Sexual Exploitation

(Nicholasville, Ky.) - On April 28, 2016, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by Post-7 Richmond, arrested Cody B. Anderson, 19, for charges related to possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Mr. Anderson was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect uploading images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Mr. Anderson's residence on April 28, 2016. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination; the investigation is ongoing. Mr. Anderson is currently charged with twenty (20) counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Mr. Anderson was arrested and lodged in the Jessamine County Detention Center. Each charge is a Class-D Felony punishable 1-5 years in prison.
