KSP Charges Hardin County Man With Child Sexual Exploitation Offenses

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (Oct. 14, 2016) - The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by Post-4 Elizabethtown, arrested Stephen K. Goodlett on charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Mr. Goodlett was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation. The investigation originated from a complaint about Mr. Goodlett that was filed with the Elizabethtown Police Department. A preliminary investigation of that complaint indicated the suspect was sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Mr. Goodlett's residence in Elizabethtown on October 13, 2016 where electronic equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination.
Mr. Goodlett is currently charged with sixty counts of possession and three counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. Additional charges are expected.
Mr. Goodlett was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
