Drakesboro, KY (Muhlenberg County) – On April 19, 2018 at approximately 10:34 PM, Trooper Justin Cornett observed a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier operating in a careless manner, and with only one headlight on KY176, west of Drakesboro. Trooper Cornett made a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the operator as Darrell Groves, 52, of Beechmont.

 Through further investigation, Trooper Cornett discovered Mr. Groves was under the influence, and in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

Darrell Groves was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center where he was charged with the following:

1.)   Speeding 04 MPH Over the Limit

2.)   One Headlight

3.)   DUI 2^nd Offense

4.)   Possession of Controlled Substance 1^st Degree, 1^st Offense (Methamphetamine

5.)   Drug Paraphernalia- Buy/Possess

6.)   Failure to Wear Seat Belts

7.)   Careless Driving
