MASONVILLE, Ky. (May 14, 2018)—A Kentucky State Police trooper stopped to check on a stalled vehicle on Red-Hill Maxwell Road off US 231 in Daviess County just after 6:30am. While investigating, the trooper determined the driver, Travis J. Austin, 24 of Beaver Dam had an active warrant for his arrest. The trooper arrested Austin and located suspected methamphetamine in his pocket. He was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense-Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana
- No Insurance
- Failure to Transfer Vehicle Registration
- No Registration Plates and Receipt
He was transported and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
