KSP Participates in National Passenger Carrier Strike Force

(Henderson, KY) – The Kentucky State Police Region 1 CVE Division will be participating in a National Passenger Carrier Strike Force. The strike force will begin on April 27th 2015 and conclude on May 9th 2015.
Passenger carrying vehicle enforcement is critical to not only the safety of passengers on board but the general motoring public as well. KSP will aggressively seek the unsafe operations of such vehicles to ensure safety on Kentucky roadways. Throughout the detail KSP will be focusing their efforts to the compliance of all state and federal regulations dealing with passenger carrying vehicles. CVE units will observe for traffic offenses such as speeding, following too closely, unsafe lane changing, impaired driving, texting and handheld cell phone usage. The goal of the detail is to prevent accidents due to both driver and vehicle safety violations.
