Single Vehicle Injury Collision in Ohio County

(Henderson, KY) - Ramon Popeluk was operating his 2001 Freightliner Semi North bound on the William Natcher Parkway. Mr Popeluk fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle. The loaded semi truck and trailer left the roadway at the 51 mile marker and came to final rest submerged in the Rough River. Both Ramon and Zackary Popeluk were able to escape the cab of the truck by busting out a rear side window of the truck.
Ramon and Zackary Popeluk were both transported by EMS to Owensboro Health ER to be treated for minor injuries.
