WHO: Governor Matt Bevin, U.S. Deputy Assistant Attorney General Katharine Sullivan, Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary John Tilley, and Kentucky State Police Commissioner Richard Sanders
WHY: Introduction of the new KSP Victim Advocacy Program, adding 16 full-time positions across the state. These victim advocates will be trained to assist victims of crime or critical incidents. Through funding from Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and partnership with statewide agencies, this program will strengthen outreach from law enforcement to victims, providing them with the support they need.
