BEAVER DAM, KY (February 24, 2018) – Kentucky State Police troopers conducted a welfare check around 10:45pm on a vehicle at Mitchel’s Grocery in Beaver Dam.

Through the investigation, troopers determined the operator, Dustin A. Smith, 28 of Beaver Dam was impaired. Smith was arrested without incident and charged with:
1) Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence.
2) Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree.
3) Drug paraphernalia.

Smith was transported and lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center in Hartford, KY.
