Eddyville, KY. (November 18, 2022) – Troopers with Kentucky State Police (KSP), Post 1 are investigating a Thursday night collision that claimed the life of a Caldwell County man. Just before 9:00 p.m. on November 17, 2022, KSP Post 1 received a call of a single vehicle collision near the 2900 block of KY-293 in Lyon County. KSP Post 1 troopers responded to the scene.

Initial investigation shows Jordan Duff, 24 years old of Princeton, KY, was operating a 2020 Ford Ecosport southbound on KY-293. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Mr. Duff was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lyon County Coroner. Mr. Duff was not wearing a seatbelt. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the severity of this collision.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Brayden Thomas. KSP Post 1 was assisted on scene by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Lyon County EMS, the Lyon County Coroner, and the Eddyville Fire Department.
