Cadiz, KY. (February 8, 2021) – Kentucky State Police detectives are still investigating an officer-involved shooting in Cadiz that occurred Monday night. Preliminary investigation shows on Monday, February 8, 2021 around 7:40 p.m., Trigg County Dispatch received a call of a possible intoxicated driver on Bush Road. Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and located a male subject, at which point the subject brandished and discharged a firearm. Deputies responded by discharging their service weapons, striking and wounding the subject.
The subject was transported by Trigg County EMS to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. No other individuals were injured during the altercation.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and is being conducted by Kentucky State Police, Post 1 and the Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team. More information will be released as the investigation continues.

Cadiz, KY. (February 8, 2021) – Troopers and Detectives with Kentucky State Police, Post 1 are on scene at a location on Bush Road in Cadiz. They are currently investigating an officer involved shooting involving the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
More information regarding this incident will be made available as the investigation continues. There is no safety concern for the community, but the Kentucky State Police ask the public to avoid the Bush Road area while units are on scene.
