West Plains, KY (August 31, 2019) – The Kentucky State Police responded to an injury collision in the 5400 block of KY 301 at approximately 2:08 P.M. Initial investigation shows Jacqueline K. Haley, 68 of Hickory, KY, was operating a 2004 Buick Century traveling west. For an unknown reason, Haley exited the right shoulder of the roadway, struck a mailbox, and attempted to regain control. Haley continued back onto the roadway and traveled off the opposite side of the roadway into a ditch, at which point the passenger’s side of the vehicle collided with a tree. Haley and her passenger, Kenneth E. Haley, 69 of Hickory, both had to be extracted from the vehicle using mechanical means. Both occupants were transported to Trace Creek Baptist Church, then flown via Air Evac to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana for treatment of multiple injuries. Both occupants were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

KSP was assisted on scene by Mayfield-Graves County EMS, Mayfield Fire Department, Clear Springs Fire Department, and the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
