A ten year old child had several marks on his body including his back, arms and ear.
CORBIN, Ky. (August 28, 2018) – On August 28, 2018 around 11:00 a.m., KSP Harlan responded with Knox County Social Services to a call of a possible criminal abuse of a child at 33 Golden’s Alley in the Corbin community of Knox County.
Preliminary investigation indicates a ten year old child, belonging to Mark Golden had several marks on his body including his back, arms and ear. During the interview, Mr. Golden admitted to hitting the child with a belt, towel and hands on multiple occasions to discipline him. The last incident occurred on August 26, 2018 over the child failing to do his homework.
Det. Jacob Wilson arrested Mark Golden (47) of Corbin and charged him with Criminal Abuse 1st-Degree (Child 12 and under). He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
Det. Wilson was assisted by Trooper Kelley Farris. Investigation continues by Det. Wilson.
