MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (September 18, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London is investigating a fatal collision that occurred approximately 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon in Rockcastle County at the intersection of US 25 North and I-75 Exit 59 off ramp.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2015 Ford F-150, operated by Denny R. Curtsinger, 50 years old of Bardstown, KY, was traveling north on the exit 59 off ramp when he failed to yield the right of way, and collided into a 2013 Harley Davidson Motorcycle that was traveling North on US 25, driven by Barry R. Allen, 62 years old of Berea, KY.

As a result of the collision, Mr. Allen was ejected from his vehicle and transported by Rockcastle EMS to the Rockcastle Regional Hospital where she was pronounced deceased by the Rockcastle County Coroner.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 11 Trooper Austin Cornett. He was assisted at the scene by Post 11 Personnel, Rockcastle Sheriff’s Office, Mount Vernon Police Department, Rockcastle EMS, Mount Vernon Fire Department, and the Rockcastle County Coroner.
