The investigation is ongoing
FRANKFORT, Ky. (October 1, 2019) – The Kentucky State Police, Frankfort Post was contacted just after 7:45 am today, and is now conducting a death investigation after a Franklin County man was found deceased early this morning.
The initial investigation indicates that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 hang-up call from a residence on Pea Ridge Road just before 6:00 am, and responded to the scene. When the Deputies arrived they located a male that had accrued serious life-threatening injuries inside the Pea Ridge residence. The male individual succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. As a result of the ongoing investigation, the deceased has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing by KSP Post 12 Detectives. They were assisted at the scene by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Franklin County Coroner.
