LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (February 24, 2023) –On February 23, 2023, at approximately 4:00 PM troopers from Post 12 responded to the area of Dan Drive in reference to Jacob Murphy pointing a gun at an individual. Upon arrival, Mr. Murphy was outside his residence and attempted to go back into the house.  Mr. Murphy was then taken into custody and lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.

Charges are as follows:

Wanton Endangerment 1st degree

Criminal Mischief 1st degree

Fleeing and Evading on Foot 2nd degree

Resisting Arrest

Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Lawrenceburg Police Department, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Anderson County EMS.
