TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (May 1, 2023) – On April 30, 2023, at approximately 11:30 PM, The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12 responded to a fatal collision that occurred in Spencer County.  The investigation determined that Nathan Wimsatt, (18 year old male of Taylorsville) was operating a 1991 Mazda Miata on Lilly Pike in Spencer County and lost control of the vehicle striking an embankment.  The vehicle overturned and Mr. Wimsatt was ejected from the vehicle.  The Spencer County Coroner’s office pronounced  Mr. Wimsatt deceased at the scene and next of kin has been notified.

Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office, Spencer County Coroner’s Office, and Spencer County Fire District.
