Hazard, Ky. (September 1, 2022) – On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at approximately 12:32 P.M, Kentucky State Police, Post 13, Hazard, received a call reporting that a state inmate housed at Kentucky River Regional Jail had escaped custody.

Thomas Kuhl Jr, 35, of Hazard, walked away from a work detail in the Christopher community of Perry County. Kuhl is described as a white male standing 5’7 tall, weighing 120 pounds. He has brown hair with brown eyes. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Kuhl, you are urged to call the Kentucky State Police at (606) 435-6069. This incident remains under investigation by Trooper Adam Baker.
