Olive Hill, KY. (February 15, 2021) – Kentucky State Police was notified of a fatal accident that occurred on I-64, 161 mile marker at approximately 0111 hours. Upon arriving on scene, Troopers learned that Unit 1 (passenger car) was traveling Westbound on I-64 when it went off the left shoulder of the roadway into the snow and lost control. Unit 1 then traveled across the lanes of traffic and struck a guardrail. This caused Unit 1 to go back into the lane of travel at which time it was struck by Unit 2 (semi truck). Victim, Angel Johnson (43), was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected out of the vehicle. Ms. Johnson was pronounced deceased on scene by Carter County Corner William Waddell. The accident is being investigated by Trooper Moore.
