Canine Located Suspected Cocaine in the Vehicle
REED, Ky. (April 28, 2018)—A Kentucky State Police trooper conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle around 4:30pm on US60 East of Henderson for a traffic violation. The trooper suspected the operator to be under the influence and asked him to exit the vehicle. While investigating, KSP and a Henderson County Sheriff deputy and his canine located suspected cocaine inside the vehicle.
Valantin C. Carrillo, 43 of Owensboro was arrested and charged with:
1) Possession of Cocaine, 1st Offense
2) Tampering with Physical Evidence
3) Driving Under the Influence, 1st Offense
4) Speeding 15 miles-per-hour over the limit
5) Reckless Driving
6) No Operators License
He was transported and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center in Henderson.
