The shopping lists consisted of several items including coats, pants, shirts, shoes, hats, gloves, and toys.
Princeton, Ky. – On Thursday, December 6th, 2018, the Kentucky State Police Professional Association (KSPPA) District 2 conducted its 22nd annual “Shop with a Trooper” (S.W.A.T.) program. This program is designed to assist provide children with items of need during the Christmas season.
Sixty-four children, their families, KSP troopers, KSP families, KSP dispatchers, and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officers met at the Area 2 Fire & Rescue Training Center in Princeton. Pizza and drinks were donated by Wal-Mart of Princeton and the Sonic Drive-In of Princeton treated all of the children to ice cream.
Families were also provided food baskets via donations from Food Giant of Guthrie, IGA of Morgantown, and the KSPPA Chapter 2.
Children were also given small care kits with supplies donated by Spradlin Dentistry, Travis and Brummer Dentistry, Haag Family Dentistry, Paige Warren Dentistry, and donations from Troopers and their families.
After dinner, personnel from Post 2, their families, and Fish and Wildlife assisted the children with their shopping at the Princeton Wal-Mart. The shopping lists consisted of several items including coats, pants, shirts, shoes, hats, gloves, and toys.
