Trooper Carroll determined Mr. Williams was operating his vehicle under the influence.
Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) – On March 7, 2018 at 9:03 PM, Trooper Hunter Carroll observed a 1979 Chevrolet pickup speeding on Newstead Road, west of Hopkinsville. Trooper Carroll initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the operator, who was identified as Jessie Williams, 42, of Big Rock, TN.
Through further investigation, Trooper Carroll determined Mr. Williams was operating his vehicle under the influence. While searching Mr. Williams’ vehicle, Trooper Carroll discovered various pills, drug paraphernalia, and suspected methamphetamine.
Jessie Williams was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Detention Center where he was charged with the following:
1.) Speeding 08 MPH Over Limit
2.) DUI 1st
3.) Improper Equipment
4.) Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 3rd or > Offense (Methamphetamine)
5.) Drug Paraphernalia- Buy/Possess
6.) Illegal Possession of Legend Drug
7.) Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container 1st Offense
Trooper Carroll was assisted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department
