Charged with Possession of Methamphetamine

Graham, Ky. (Muhlenberg County)– Trooper Justin Cornett, of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, observed the operator of a 1996 Chevrolet pickup not wearing his seatbelt on KY 601 in Graham. Trooper Cornett initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on July 28, 2020 around 6:33 PM.

The operator was identified as 31-year-old Jerry McGregor, of Powderly, Ky. Further investigation revealed McGregor was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Jerry McGregor was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:

1. No Registration Receipt
2. No Registration Plates
3. Possession of Controlled Substance 1^st Degree, 1^st Offense (Methamphetamine)
4. Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
5. DUI 1^st
6. Failure to Wear Seat Belts
