Kentucky State Police Pursuit Leads to Arrest
Earlington, Ky. (Hopkins County) –Trooper Cody Kromer of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, observed a 1996 GMC pickup in Earlington, operated by 35-year-old Harold Anthony, on March 29, around 7:24 PM.
Trooper Kromer knew Anthony had a warrant issued for his arrest, and initiated his emergency equipment to stop the pickup. Anthony disregarded Trooper Kromer’s emergency equipment, and continued for several miles, before pulling into a driveway in Morton’s Gap. Trooper Kromer and Hopkins County Deputies then apprehended Anthony.
Harold Anthony was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:
- Reckless Driving
- No Registration Plate
- No Registration Receipt
- Failure of Non-owner Operator to Maintain Required Ins/Sec, 1st Offense
- Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
- Resisting Arrest
- Failure to Wear Seat Belt
- Driving DUI Suspended License- 3rd Offense (Aggravated Circumstance)
