Adolphus, KY. (December 10, 2020) – On December 10, 2020, Kentucky State Police Post 3 responded to a two vehicle fatal collision just after 4:30 pm. The collision occurred on US 31-E in the Adolphus community of Allen County.
The preliminary investigation indicated that 75 year-old Luther Tuttle Jr. of Adolphus was operating a Lincoln Town Car southbound on US 31-E near the intersection of Carter Church Road. A Toyota Tacoma being operated by 69 year-old Robert Dyer of Nashville, TN, was traveling northbound on US 31-E in the same area. Tuttle’s vehicle crossed the center dividing line and entered into the northbound lane of travel, striking Dyer’s vehicle.
Luther Tuttle Jr. was pronounced deceased by the Allen County Coroner. Robert Dyer was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained.
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Aaron Hampton. He was assisted on scene by Allen County Coroner’s Office, Allen County EMS, Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Air Evac and KSP personnel. No other details are available for release at this time.
