Franklin, KY. (March 6th, 2020) – On March 5th, 2020 the Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green received a call from Bowling Green Police Department in reference a stolen Nissan Sentra, which was believed to be traveling southbound on I-65.
Trooper Mike Hatler located the stolen vehicle in a field on Page Drive in Franklin, KY. The Nissan was parked beside a GMC pickup that was later discovered to also be stolen. Upon Trooper Hatler discovering the vehicles, four male subjects fled on foot into a wooded area. After a short foot pursuit, Donavan D. Broyles (18) of Grand Rapids, MI along with three juveniles were located and taken into custody. Charges include:
- Receiving Stolen Property
- Operating Motor Vehicle on Suspended/Revoked License
- Unlawful Transaction With a Minor, 2nd Degree
- Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (on foot)
- Engaging in Organized Crime
Trooper Hatler was assisted on the scene by the Franklin Police Department, Simpson County Sheriff’s Department and other KSP personnel. No further information is available for release at this time.
