Summersville, KY. (May 20th, 2020) – The Medical Examiner has identified the victim as Freddie A. Wells (67) of Summersville, Kentucky. Identification of the victim was confirmed by The Medical Examiner, who was assisted by Hart County Coroner Anthony Roberts. The investigation continues by Detective Courtney Milam. No other details are available for release at this time.

Summersville, KY. (May 19th, 2020) – The Kentucky State Police, Post 3 in Bowling Green received a call just after 14:18 pm this afternoon in regards to a fatal residential structure fire.
The initial investigation indicates that at approximately 14:18 pm, Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green received a call for service regarding a fire in which an individual was located in a detached garage/barn which had been destroyed by fire. KSP Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene, and found an unidentified adult in the debris. The adjacent residence was unoccupied and not damaged. Coroner pronounced the subject deceased upon removal. The cause of death is unknown, and the body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for an autopsy.
The ongoing death investigation is being conducted by Detective Courtney Milam. She was assisted at the scene by KSP Post 3 and Special Operations Personnel, Hart County Sheriffs Department, Lynnwood VFW, Hart County Coroners and Hart EMS.
