Shepherdsville, KY. (April 01, 2019) – Kentucky State Police Post 4 Troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision in Bullitt Co. Monday morning. On April 01, 2019 at approximately 11:58 A.M. EST, KSP Post 4 received a call of a two-vehicle collision on KY 61 (Preston Highway) in Bullitt County. The preliminary investigation revealed that Harry S. Burton (89) of Louisville, KY was turning onto KY61 from Hillbrook Drive in a 2010 KIA Forte. Joshua Vetter (33) of Shepherdsville was traveling north on KY61 in a 2018 Ram when Burton turned into his lane of travel.
Burton was pronounced dead at the scene. Vetter was not injured in the collision. The affected portion of KY 61 was closed in order to allow troopers to investigate the collision. KSP Post 4 was assisted at the scene the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Department, Bullitt County Coroner, Bullitt County EMS, Zoneton Fire Department, and the Shepherdsville Fire Department. The collision is still under investigation by Trooper Eric Hines.
