BARDSTOWN, Ky. (June 13, 2022) – Kentucky State Police Post 4 troopers responded to a two-vehicle collision in Nelson County Saturday afternoon. On June 11 at approximately 5:35 P.M. EDT, KSP Post 4 received a call from Nelson County Dispatch requesting assistance in investigating a two-vehicle injury collision near the 7900 block of New Haven Road in Nelson Co.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Heather Booth, age 30 of Greensburg, was traveling north on New Haven Road in a 1997 Chevrolet Suburban. For unknown reasons, Booth’s vehicle crossed the centerline and into the path of a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by Kaitlyn Hoffman, of New Haven.
Booth, Hoffman and a passenger in Hoffman’s vehicle were transported to Flaget Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A passenger in Booth’s vehicle, Jasmine Morgan age 21 of Greenville, was flown to University of Louisville Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The affected portion of New Haven Road was closed for several hours in order to allow troopers to investigate the collision. KSP Post 4 was assisted at the scene by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson County EMS, Rolling Fork Fire Dept., and Air Methods. The collision remains under investigation by reconstructionist Trooper Kevin Dreisbach.
