Warsaw, KY. (January 21, 2021) – The driver in the fatal collision in Gallatin County, Josh Hodges, was charged with multiple offenses as a result of the ongoing investigation by the Kentucky State Police. On Tuesday January 19, 2021 Hodges was charged with Manslaughter 2nd Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. On the night of the collision Hodges was also charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree as well as multiple traffic offenses by the Warsaw Police Department. Mr. Hodges is currently lodged at Louisville Metro Corrections.

Warsaw, KY. (January 17,2021) –On Sunday January 17, 2021 at approximately 1:21 am Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a request from the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office requesting an accident reconstructionist to conduct an investigation of a fatal accident that occurred during a pursuit.
Gallatin County Dispatch advised a Warsaw Police Department officer had attempted to stop a Toyota passenger car on US 42 for an observed speeding violation. The vehicle failed to stop for the officer. During the pursuit the passenger vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and collided with a concrete wall.
The driver identified as Josh Hodges, a 31 year old male from Florence, was transported to the hospital for medical care. The front passenger identified as Tiffany McNeil, a 34 year old female from Florence, was also transported for medical care. Both were wearing seatbelts.
A third passenger identified as Shanda Withrow, a 54 year old female from Hamilton Ohio, was not restrained and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner.
Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office, Warsaw Police Department, Gallatin Fire Department, Switzerland County EMS, Carroll County EMS and Gallatin County Coroner.
The Kentucky State Police Post 5 reconstruction team is conducting the ongoing investigation.
