Dry Ridge, Ky. (March 17, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police Post 6 Dry Ridge were called to a residence in Robertson County by Bracken County EMS for beyond livable conditions. Through Trooper Patrick Davis’s investigation he has charged two adults, Rebecca Moyer (49) and John Moyer (50), at the residence with Knowingly Abuse/ Neglect of Adult by person (Class D Felony) along with 16 counts of Cruelty to Animals 2nd degree (Class A Misdemeanor). Through the investigation it was learned the two adults are caregivers for their son Eric Moyer (30) who is mentally handicap and was in very poor health. Eric Moyer had to be transported to Harrison Memorial Hospital and later transferred to University of Kentucky Hospital. There were several cats at the residence that had not been taken care of along with a dog. John Moyer was lodged at Mason County Detention Center and Rebecca Moyer was lodged at Bourbon County Detention Center. The charges on both subjects were charged through an Indictment by the Robertson County Grand Jury.
