SALVISA, Ky. (April 4, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, was contacted just before 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in reference to a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Louisville Road (US-127) in Mercer County.

The initial investigation indicates a 2021 Audi A4 operated by Wyatt Lucas, 25, of Lexington, was traveling south on Louisville Road when he struck a pedestrian Bobby Hardin, 67, of Salvisa, who was on the roadway.

As a result of the collision, Mr. Hardin was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on the scene by the Mercer County Coroner. Mr. Lucas was not injured in the collision.

The ongoing collision investigation is being conducted by Trooper Tyler Holt. He was assisted on the scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Mercer County EMS, Mercer County Fire Department, and Mercer County Coroner’s Office.
