BEREA, Ky. (July 24, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police has been requested by the Berea Police Department to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on July 24, 2023, slightly before 10:30 a.m. EST in Madison County. 

KSP Post 7 (Richmond) Troopers, Detectives, and the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) responded to the scene. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

A male subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
