Update

(May 25, 2020) – The investigation of this collision is ongoing to determine the cause. Dylan Price (27 YOA from Shelbiana KY) was pronounced deceased due to the injuries he received. The two other victims transferred to University of KY Medial Center are reported to be stable condition.

Pikeville, KY (May 22, 2020) – Just before 8:30 AM Post 9 Received a 911 call reporting a two vehicle collision in the Millard area of Pike County on KY 122, also known as Collins Highway.

Upon Troopers arrival it was determined a vehicle had crossed over the center of the roadway into the path of a second vehicle causing a head on collision.

Because of the collision one person was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office. The second vehicle had four occupants; two were taken to the Pikeville Medical Center, and later transferred to the University of KY Medical Center

At this time the collision is still under investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
