Marrowbone, KY. (September 29, 2021) – Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call on September 27, 2021, at 7:19 p.m. reporting a single vehicle collision had occurred on KY Route 195 in the Marrowbone community of Pike County. A trooper from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.

The initial investigation indicated Joshua Holbrooks, 24 years old of Elkhorn City, was operating a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle on KY Route 195 when Holbrooks’ motorcycle exited the roadway and struck a tree. Joshua Holbrooks was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

Trooper Colt Stumbo is investigating the collision and was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
