Forensic Sketch of Lee County Murder Suspect Released
Date of News Release: 12/28/2005
(RICHMOND, KY) - Steven Crowe was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle on KY 52, nine miles west of Beattyville. Mr. Crowe was killed by a bullet that passed through the vehicle and struck him in the torso. According to the driver of the vehicle, a late 90's, light blue Chevrolet Cavalier two door, had followed them for several miles with it's high beam headlights on. It then began to tailgate them until passing them. About one mile from where they were passed, the same blue Chevrolet was seen in a driveway with the driver crouched behind a guard rail. The unidentified person then stood up and fired a rifle, striking the victim.
This person is described as a white male in his thirties, with black shoulder length hair and a goatee. The sketch below was composed by KSP Forensic Artist Charity Weichert.
