(Dry Ridge, KY) - On Wednesday, August 2, 2007, at approximately 1917 hours, the Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision on Violet Road in Crittenden, KY. Upon arrival units discovered that a 1993 Honda passenger car had left the roadway and struck a tree. The operator, Kerry Lemons (18), and passenger, Donald Sanders (18), were both transported to hospitals via helicopter. At this time it is believed that speed is a contributing factor to the collision. Preliminary investigations indicate that alcohol/drugs are not a factor.

The collision is still under investigation by Trooper Chad Mills.
