Burgin Bank Robbery Investigation

(RICHMOND, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, is currently investigating the armed robbery of the Farmers Bank Branch of Burgin. At 9:33 A.M. , two white male suspects entered the bank, with one suspect brandishing a handgun. The other suspect then ordered a teller to hand over cash. The two suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction of travel. An undetermined amount of money was taken. One suspect is described as a white male, 5' 7" to 5 '9" in height with a thin build and appears to be in his late fifties or early sixties. He is described as having long dark hair and a stringy beard. He was wearing a grey ball cap, a blue long sleeve plaid shirt and wearing blue jeans. The other suspect is described as a white male, between the ages of fifteen and twenty, with short dark hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. No employees were harmed during this incident. KSP Forensics artists are currently working to produce composite sketches of the suspects.
