Sketch of the Bank Robbery Suspect

(Columbia, KY) - Kentucky State Police are no longer considering a Nissan car as a potential vehicle of interest. As reported yesterday, the 1998 Nissan Frontier is the vehicle of interest. Additionally, a sketch of the suspect has been attached to this update.

(Columbia, KY) - Kentucky State Police Detectives have focused their attention on locating a green, 1998 Nissan Frontier, extended cab pickup truck stolen from Clay County, TN earlier today (01/06/2009). The truck may have a "Breathe Wright" sign on both driver and passenger side doors. Additionally, the suspect is approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height and weighs approximately 150 pounds. (Columbia, KY) - Monroe County Sheriff's Department received a call at 09:02 CST in reference to a Robbery at South Central Bank of Gamaliel in Monroe County. A white male entered the bank and indicated that he was armed. The suspect demanded money and received an undisclosed amount. The suspect left the scene and may be operating a Nissan Car with black trim on the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen headed west on KY Highway 0087. A second vehicle of interest is a 1998 Nissan truck, green in color with TN registration plate 839-BND. This vehicle was reported stolen out of Clay County, TN earlier this morning. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information, please contact the Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555 or by dialing 911. Surrounding Kentucky and Tennessee authorities as well as the FBI have been notified. More details will be released as soon as they are available.
