(Richmond, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond has charged three individuals in connection with the shoplifting of large amounts of DVD's, Blu-ray discs, computer games, software, X Box and PlayStation games from several Central Kentucky Wal Mart stores. The suspects were identified during an active drug investigation in the Richmond area. Michael and Tina Brock allegedly shoplifted the items from Wal Marts stores in the surrounding area on an almost daily basis. The Brock's then allegedly sold the stolen items to Lester Powell of Berea. On 02/03/2009, a search warrant was served on Berea office space rented by Mr. Powell. Also seized were items consistent with the packaging and shipping of said merchandise through the US Postal Service. Mr. Powell allegedly sold the stolen merchandise through Amazon. The Richmond Wal Mart has been instrumental in helping investigators determine what stores are affected. To date, over $77,000 worth of merchandise has been recovered and returned to Wal Mart. All three suspects have been indicted by the Madison County Grand Jury.
