Arrests in 2005 Bourbon County Murder Case

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- On March 2, 2010, Kentucky State Police detectives, along with detectives and officers from the Lexington Metro Police Department arrested four individuals connected with the 2005 kidnapping and murder of Miniamin Osorio-Lasaro and Francisco Garcia. The bodies of Lasaro and Garcia were located on a farm in Bourbon County on November 13, 2005.
The following individuals were arrested yesterday: Ediel G. Cruz, 23, of Lexington, was charged with one count each of Murder, Kidnapping, and Robbery 1st Degree. Heather R. Grijalba, 22, of Lexington, was charged with one count each of Kidnapping and Robbery 1st Degree. Latasha N. Cruz, 21, of Lexington, was charged with one count each of Kidnapping and Robbery 1st Degree. Patrick H. Noel, 50, of Lexington, was charged with one count each of Kidnapping and Robbery 1st Degree.
Murder is a capital offense. Kidnapping that results in the death of the victim is also a capital offense. Robbery 1st Degree is a Class B Felony, punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected. Prosecutors have not made the decision on whether or not the death penalty will be sought. Information about subsequent arrests will be released as it becomes available.
