Trafficking Marijuana Arrest in Lyon County

(Hickory, Ky.) -- Mr. Stanley D. Ward was stopped for a traffic violation on the Western Kentucky Parkway at the 2 mile marker near Eddyville, KY. After talking to Mr. Ward a search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search 4 pounds of Marijuana was located under the hood around the engine. Mr. Stanley D. Ward was then placed into custody and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. Mr. Ward is charged with Trafficking Marijuana (8 oz to less than 5 lbs.) 1st Offense, Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operators License, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. $1480 dollars was seized from Mr. Ward. Trooper Williams was assisted by Kentucky State Police Sergeant Michael Williams and Officer Mike Sandbrink with Kentucky State Police Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
