Shooting Investigation in Pendleton County

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) - On February 27, 2011 at 0037 hours Kentucky State Police Post Six received complaint of a fight in progress at 199 Kells Road in Pendleton County. Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post Six responded to the residence and located Sharli Bowman, a 30 year old female with a non-life threatening gun shot wound. The female victim was transported to Grant County St. Elizabeth, by ground Ambulance, and was subsequently transported to the University of Cincinnati Hospital via helicopter. As a result of the investigation, Joseph Goree, 34 years old, from Dry Ridge, KY has been taken into custody and charged with Assault 1st Degree, two (2) counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Possession of a firearm by convicted felon and Assault 4th Degree Domestic Violence (Minor Injury). Mr. Goree is lodged in the Boone County Detention Center. This matter remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Trooper Jeremy Moore.

Other agencies assisting Kentucky State Police include the Grant County Sheriffs Department, the Pendleton County Sheriffs Department and Pendleton County EMS.
