KSP Post 8 Traffic/Criminal Activity for 2010

(Morehead, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police at Post 8 Morehead announce the final traffic and criminal activity report for 2010. During 2010 Post 8 personnel issued 15,527 total traffic citations. Of those citations, 401 were for DUI, 2,908 were for Speeding, 1,588 for No Seat Belt, 164 for Child Restraint. Post 8 also investigated 923 total traffic collisions. Of those collisons, 23 were fatalilty collisions with a total of 25 fatalities. Post 8 personnel also investigated 15,203 complaints. A total of 1,445 criminal cases were opened and a total of 3,229 arrests were made for the year 2010.
