A pedestrian killed in Rowan County

(Morehead, Ky.) -- At 1022 hours on 02/17/2011 Trooper Keith Howard responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in the parking lot at Eldridge and Son Farm Supply off KY377 north. Judy P. Meadows of Morehead was attempting to back her vehicle over to a storage barn when she struck two pedestrians that were standing near the barn. Billy G. Bowling and Dewey Brickles both of Morehead were pinned up against a parked vehicle after being struck by Meadows vehicle. Mr. Bowling and Mr. Brickles were both airlifted from the scene. Billy G. Bowling was later pronounced deceased at Cabell Huntington Hospital due to injuries sustained from the accident. The University of Kentucky Medical Center was unable to advise the condition of Dewey Brickles. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Keith Howard.
